Road walkers: a stroll at Devil's Kitchen Lake

I wanted to put on some miles so that I could catch up to Laura in the Rec Your Quarantine challenge and didn't want to get into another hike that put Lucy and I off-trail at dusk.  So Lucy and I met up with Micah and Beulah at Devil's Kitchen Lake for a birding/wildflower/nature walk.  There are a number of side roads and abandoned roads along the east side of the lake that are great for pushing the jogging stroller.  We walked at a brisk pace and chatted along the way.

We stopped at the canoe launch so Lucy could snack, but not before Micah cracked her up with a bit of peek-a-boo.  This was the first time that she responded to the game after many tries!

We also stopped a bit later so that Lucy could finish her bottle on the floating dock.  She was dressed quite appropriately for the birding trip with her "I 💗 TITS" shirt on :)

I spotted a few flowers along the shore while I was feeding her, so we went over to investigate.  I took pictures of the back of the flower in a semi-selfie manner, without looking at the viewfinder.  After I reviewed the photos on the camera, I noticed the spider and laid down to get some tighter shots.  It wasn't until I got home and loaded them on the computer that I noticed that I had recorded the spider on the hunt!

We walked some more of the arc roads and stopped for a few more flowers along the way.
